Fun in Acapulco ” is a album / soundtrack of 1963 film of Elvis Presley with the same name. It is the nineteenth album American singer and musician, released by RCA Victor Records in November 1963. The most successful album was undoubtedly “Bossa Nova Baby”.
Despite the name, the music was certainly not the kind popularized by João Gilberto, Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Morais. However, Elvis would record this musical style with a composition of Luiz Bonfa, 1968, “Almost In Love”.
The song “Guadalajara” is played by Elvis in Spanish. On this album, Elvis was praised for meeting one of his best vocal moments, as exemplified by the “Love Me Tonight” song.
The album reached the position # 3 on the Billboard Pop / USA that same year, as in England, No. 9 in Guinness.
Fun in Acapulco ” is an American film of 1963 in which the main stars Elvis Presley and Ursula Andress. Although the story of the film take place in Mexican territory, Elvis did not record any scenes in that country. All scenes were shot in studios.
Ursula Andress had become world famous one year before, it was the first “Bond girl” in the James Bond film called Dr. No.
