Robin Peter SMITH is Crispian St PETERS.
He was born on April 5, 1939 in Swanley, England.

In 1964, while part of the Peter & Wolves group, David Nicholsson (publicist at EMI) persuaded him to start a solo career. He signed with Decca in 1965.

His first two singles did not meet success and he had to wait until 1966 and the release of “You were on my mind” to finally be recognized.
The title was written and recorded in 1964 by the Canadian folk duo IAN & SYLVIA and became popular in the USA in 1965 by WE FIVE.
