Carla Venita Thomas (Memphis / Tennessee, December 21, 1942), better known only by Carla Thomas , is an American singer of “soul music”, owner of a wonderful voice, often dubbed “Soul Queen of Memphis”, daughter another great soul singer Rufus Thomas.
